Children’s Special Health Care Services – Diagnosis Codes
CSHCS covers approximately 2,600 medical diagnoses that require care by a medical or surgical subspecialist and are handicapping in nature. Diagnosis alone does not guarantee medical elgibility for CSHCS. The individual must also meet the evaluation criteria regarding the level of severity, chronicity, and the need for annual medical care and treatment. This document provides the diagnostic codes that CSHCS covers.
